Exmouth is a local seaside town with large sandy beaches. 20 minutes away by car, or let the train take the strain from Topsham station as it travels to Exmouth in 13 minutes along the edge of the beautiful Exe Estuary. Hire bikes from Route 2 Bikes in Topsham and reach Exmouth at a slower pace, but with the wind in your hair!
If you prefer a pebble beach, drive 25 minutes over to Budleigh Salterton beach. Quite a steep slope makes it great for swimmers!
